All Things Bumps & Bruises

One reason many people turn to Young Living is for natural solutions for handling everyday needs! So whether you're stocking a natural wellness kit, have little kiddos or are accident prone yourself, here are some favorites for handling life's bumps and bruises!

FAVORITES FOR BUMPS & BRUISES

Rose Ointment or Tender Tush Ointment (great replacement for typical skin ointments)
Seedlings Diaper Rash Cream (perfect or wellness kits because it is a zinc oxide cream and protects the skin)
Helichrysum, Lavender, Patchouli, Chamomile and Frankincense essential oils (for soothing and promoting healing)
Tea Tree essential oil (for purifying and can be used for tick removal!)
PanAway, M-Grain, Deep Relief essential oil blends
CBD Muscle Rub and CBD Drops (can use topically or most people drop under the tongue)

For just about everything you'd find in a conventional wellness kit, we have a natural option in the form of an essential oil or oil-infused product!

QUICK TIPS & DIYS

To easily remove ticks, simply drop a few drops of Tea Tree essential oil onto the tick where it is attached. Gently rub a q-tip around the area and wait for the tick to remove itself from the skin. Add a few more drops of Tea Tree as needed.
Use Rose Ointment or Tender Tush Ointment as an all-purpose ointment when applying bandages and as a carrier if you need to add essential oils to an area. These can also be used as a base for a DIY cream/salve.
Lavender is a great skin soother! Whether skin is irritated from a fall, from grabbing something hot, or from creepy crawly pests, Lavender and a carrier is a great start. You can also add Purification to soothe itching and/or Roman Chamomile for soothing.

DIY Pavement Spray
For when you or someone else hits the pavement! Spray onto the area - no need to rub in. If you want to place a bandage on it, make sure to gently remove any oil around the affected area so the adhesive will stick.

Most people ask if they should simply start taking vitamin D—but the real question runs deeper. Rather than guessing, modern medicine now allows us to measure vitamin D and understand why levels shift in the first place. What you'll discover is that vitamin D rarely works alone; it participates in an elegant communication network throughout your body involving muscles, immunity, hormones, and countless other systems. This shift in perspective changes everything—from how you interpret lab work to how you approach your whole-body wellness. Once you start looking at health through the lens of connection rather than isolated symptoms, you begin asking better questions and finally understand why sustainable wellness depends on supporting all the pieces together.

Who Influences Whom? The Hidden Conversation Between Human and Animal Nervous Systems
Your pet knows something about you before you do. While most people understand that animals help reduce stress, emerging research reveals a deeper truth: the relationship between humans and animals flows both ways. When you experience overwhelm, your nervous system sends signals—through your breathing, muscle tension, and body language—that your pet reads instantly. This constant conversation between two nervous systems means that chronic human stress doesn't just affect you; it shapes the physiology, behavior, and wellbeing of the animals sharing your home. Understanding this bidirectional bond shifts everything about how you approach your own calm and your pet's.

Vitamin D: The Body's Master Communicator
Your immune system isn't simply waiting to attack invaders—it's an intelligent communication network constantly deciding what belongs in your body and what doesn't. Modern life has shifted us indoors and away from the sunlight that once naturally sustained us, yet understanding why matters so much more than following a simple fix.
