Animal Wellness with Dr. Lynne Wimmer

What Is Your Animal Trying to Tell You?

Something changed.
You noticed.
That's where the conversation begins.

You don't need to know everything about animal health. Start by knowing your animal.

Maybe your dog normally finishes breakfast before you put the scoop away.

Then one morning she doesn't.

Your cat normally jumps onto the bed. Now he waits below.

Your horse normally meets you at the gate. This week, you've had to go find him.

None of those observations gives you a diagnosis.

They give you information.

Does any of this sound familiar?

“My dog just seems…off.”

“Why do the ears or itching keep coming back?”

“Is this simply aging—or is something changing?”

“I want natural options, but where do I start?”

“My horse isn't acting like himself. I just can't explain what's different.”

Those questions matter. They give us somewhere to begin.

Start with a Baseline

Do You Know Your Animal's Normal?

Before you know what's changed, you need a baseline.

Appetite. Water. Sleep. Elimination. Movement. Behavior. Interactions. The little routines unique to your animal.

Today's observations become tomorrow's clues.

Dr. Lynne Wimmer, veterinarian
Why I Created This

I'm Dr. Lynne Wimmer.

As a veterinarian, I've spent years listening to people describe the small changes they notice in the animals they love.

Often, those details matter.

I created the Animal Wellness Resource Library to help caregivers become better observers, recognize patterns, ask better questions, and explore whole-animal wellness with greater clarity.

This education supports your relationship with your veterinary team. It does not replace veterinary examination, diagnosis, emergency care or treatment.

What's going on with your animal?

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this just about essential oils?
No. Essential oils represent one part of a much broader conversation. We explore observation, nutrition, digestion, skin and ears, movement, behavior, emotional wellness, aging, environment, supplements and other integrative approaches.
Does this replace my veterinarian?
No. The Resource Library provides education and observation tools. It does not replace veterinary examination, diagnosis, emergency care or treatment. The goal is to help you notice more and communicate useful information to your veterinary team.
My animal seems healthy. Is this still useful?
Yes. A healthy animal gives you the best opportunity to learn what normal looks like. That baseline helps you recognize when something begins to change.
Is the Library only for dogs?
No. The Library will include education for dogs, cats, horses and other companion animals. Some resources apply broadly, while others focus on a particular species.
What if I don't know where to start?
Start with your animal's normal. Notice appetite, water, sleep, elimination, movement, behavior, interactions and everyday routines. You don't need to know everything. Start by noticing.
What will I find inside the Resource Library?
The current collection may include articles, videos, classes, downloadable guides, observation tools, quick references, natural wellness education and species-specific resources. New education may be added as the Library grows.
