Whether we're bolstering immunity, soothing the respiratory system or using them for more targeted support, this family of oils is a mainstay in our arsenal!
JUST A DROP OF HERB OILS

Are cleansing and purifying, making them great additions to cleaning DIYs

Herbaceous oils can be steam distilled from the leaves, stems, seeds, and flowers of the parent plant, depending on the oil being extracted. Each specific oil has its own unique aroma, and most of them have an uplifting, invigorating scent that can help still and focus the mind. All of the herbaceous oils contain antioxidants and immune-supporting properties.

The herbal oils are also infused into many of the YL supplements and products: Inner Defense capsules, OrthoSport and OrthoEase Massage Oils, soothing blends like SniffleEase, Breathe Again, and Aroma Siez, and many more. KEY CONSTITUENTS
*Constituents are naturally occurring compounds in plants (and therefore essential oils) that give them specific health-supporting properties

Thymol: this constituent is wonderful for reducing inflammation within the body using the body's own mechanisms.
Eucalyptol: eucalyptol has a distinctive, fresh aroma that has a calming effect on the user when applied in aromatherapy. Research shows that eucalyptol may have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and neuroprotective effects. It may also act as a bronchodilator, supporting airway opening.
Camphor: known for its medicinal aroma, camphor has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries for its cleansing properties and was used as a fumigant during the plague era. This constituent may provide antibacterial anti-inflammatory and skin supporting properties.
Alpha-pinene: a powerful antioxidant, some studies have shown alpha-pinene to support the body through inflammation and to help calm the mind.

HERB OILS & EMOTIONS
Herbaceous oils can be an incredible health tool when it comes to emotional support! Not only do they help with mental clarity and focus, they are supportive of the immune system as well. And our immune system is highly linked to our emotional state!

Think about it. When you feel something coming on you are often more easily agitated, feel low energy and even depressed. When we begin to fall below the wellness line it affects us physically, yes, but also spiritually, emotionally, mentally. The opposite is true as well. When we are feeling the negative side of emotions, our immune systems need some support. Feelings of Vulnerable, Exhausted, Unfocused, Uncertain and Run Down are a great time to grab Oregano, Rosemary, Thyme, or Basil!

One simple way to help with this… keep your bottle of oil beside the bed. When you wake in the morning feeling sluggish, unwilling to start the day, uncertain of what is ahead, take a deep breath. To promote clarity and focus, dilute your chosen oil and rub it over the throat or over the liver.

Who Influences Whom? The Hidden Conversation Between Human and Animal Nervous Systems
Your pet knows something about you before you do. While most people understand that animals help reduce stress, emerging research reveals a deeper truth: the relationship between humans and animals flows both ways. When you experience overwhelm, your nervous system sends signals—through your breathing, muscle tension, and body language—that your pet reads instantly. This constant conversation between two nervous systems means that chronic human stress doesn't just affect you; it shapes the physiology, behavior, and wellbeing of the animals sharing your home. Understanding this bidirectional bond shifts everything about how you approach your own calm and your pet's.
