Spotlight on Sacred Frankincense
Sacred Frankincense (Boswellia sacra) essential oil is a variety of Frankincense that is believed to be obtained from the resin variety brought to the Christ Child on his birth. Because of this, Sacred Frankincense carries huge historical and spiritual significance! It can be used similarly to Frankincense essential oil, and has a slightly deeper, grounding, woodsy aroma that enhances meditation and spiritual practices when used aromatically.

BACKGROUND
Regarded as one of the rarest, most sought-after aromatics in existence, the resin used to obtain Young Living's Sacred Frankincense is the first Omani frankincense to be available to those outside of the Saudi royal family. Sacred frankincense (Boswellia sacra) is believed to be the frankincense documented during ancient times. Historically, it is believed that this beautiful, white hojari resin produced the frankincense that was taken to the Christ Child. 

CONSTITUENTS
Frankincense is very grounding and can be inhaled to calm the mind and bring a sense of focus and well being. The composition of Frankincense oil is especially high in “monoterpenes” which are components that help to rewrite information in the DNA of the cells that is harmful to the body (signals inducing stress, fight or flight, cellular issues, cellular memories related to trauma, injury, etc.).

This gives us insight into why it has been revered as incense for times of prayer and spiritual practice, since prayer and communion with God is a time for rewriting of the lies and stressors that have invaded our bodies and spirits, drawing us away from His perfect presence.

Frankincense is helpful for releasing feelings of anger, entanglement, and abandonment. This sentiment in feeling form can mean you feel so dependent on or entangled with someone else's opinion or thoughts about you that anything they do makes you angry and triggered. Rub Frankincense over the center of the chest whenever you feel that deep, angry feeling, or when your chest hurts from emotional struggles.
Say statements like: "I am grounded." or "I stand in my power."
