A Little Preview

What We’ll Practice Together

We’ll walk through Raindrop for horses step by step—from preparing the horse and your supplies to practicing the sequence and noticing the horse’s response along the way.

 1   Prepare Horse & Handler
 2   Learn the Oil Sequence
 3   Practice the Technique
 4   Observe the Horse’s Response
 5   Know When to Pause
6   Take It Back to Your Barn

Something to Notice Before We Meet

Spend a few quiet minutes watching a horse at rest. Notice the ears, eyes, breathing, posture, and what you observe about muscle tension. Then notice what happens when you approach and gently touch the horse. You don’t need to change anything—just observe. We’ll build on those observations together during the workshop.

And You’ll Have a Barn Reference to Take Home

You’ll receive a full-color Raindrop for Horses Barn Guide designed to laminate and keep with your barn supplies, so the sequence and observation reminders stay close at hand.

“Slow down. Pay attention. Let the horse’s response guide the experience.”

Raindrop gives us another opportunity to spend intentional time with a horse—to touch, observe, and notice the subtle changes we might otherwise miss. Thank you for joining us, supporting Iron Giants and the horses in their care, and bringing your curiosity to this hands-on morning. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.

Warmly,
Dr. Lynne Wimmer
