Sometimes your body simply asks for a little extra attention. Ortho Ease® gives you an easy way to turn massage into a soothing wellness ritual—eleven essential oils, one ready-to-use formula.

A long day in the garden. An afternoon on your feet. A challenging workout, hours at the computer, or simply everyday physical activity—all can leave muscles feeling tired and ready for some hands-on care.
Young Living designed Ortho Ease® as a topical massage oil for tired, overworked bodies. Its lightweight carrier-oil base combines with a distinctive collection of essential oils—including Lemongrass, Copaiba, Peppermint, Clove, Juniper, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Vetiver, Marjoram, and Thyme—to create a refreshing, soothing massage experience.
Rather than reaching for several bottles and creating a massage blend every time, Ortho Ease brings the carrier oil and essential oils together in one ready-to-use formula.
A botanical massage oil that comes pre-blended—no measuring or mixing required.
The current reformulated version features eleven carefully chosen essential oils.
Fresh, herbal, warming, and cooling notes all at once.
Designed for massage after everyday physical activity or workouts.
Doubles as a moisturizing body oil for dry areas such as elbows and knees.
A lovely addition to a post-activity or evening self-care routine.
Young Living reformulated Ortho Ease after a global shortage affected one of the ingredients in the previous formula. Rather than simply replacing that ingredient, Young Living redesigned both the massage-oil base and the essential-oil profile.
The new base removes wheat germ and almond oil, providing a gluten-free formulation. That also means an older bottle of Ortho Ease may smell noticeably different from a newer one—the characteristic Wintergreen aroma no longer defines the current version.
Young Living also reports increasing amounts of Peppermint, Lemongrass, and Vetiver.
The beauty of Ortho Ease comes from the way its botanical ingredients work together, rather than relying on a single essential oil.

Think of Ortho Ease as more than an oil that simply makes massage easier. The carrier base provides glide. Then several aromatic personalities come together.
Bring cooling brightness and clarity.
Add a green, garden-like dimension.
Clove adds warmth; Lavender softens the whole aroma.
Anchor the formula with deep, earthy notes.
The result creates a sensory contrast particularly well suited to massage after physical activity: fresh, herbal, warming, cooling, and grounding all at once.
Research on individual ingredients helps us understand what each oil contributes—it does not prove that the finished massage oil produces the same effect.
Mentha piperita • Fresh • Minty • Cooling
Peppermint gives Ortho Ease much of its immediately recognizable refreshing character. Key constituent: menthol.
RESEARCH — Menthol activates temperature-sensitive skin pathways and creates a cooling perception.
Cymbopogon flexuosus • Bright • Citrusy • Herbaceous
Contributes an invigorating citrus-herbal note and shapes much of Ortho Ease's aromatic identity.
TRADITIONAL — Long history of use in botanical massage preparations.
Copaifera reticulata • Soft • Woody • Resinous
Joins the newer formula with a softer resinous character that balances sharper oils. Key constituent: β-caryophyllene.
RESEARCH — β-caryophyllene attracts scientific interest for CB2 receptor interactions.
Lavandula angustifolia • Floral • Herbaceous • Soft
Also new to the formula. Its softer floral-herbal aroma balances stronger notes from Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Lemongrass, Thyme, and Clove.
TRADITIONAL — Commonly paired with massage and evening relaxation rituals.
Eugenia caryophyllus • Warm • Spicy • Rich
Supplies a distinctly warm aromatic contrast to cooling Peppermint and fresh Eucalyptus. Key constituent: eugenol.
RESEARCH — Eugenol receives extensive study for several biological activities.
Juniperus osteosperma • Woody • Crisp • Fresh
Gives the formula a forest-like freshness and traditionally appears in aromatic massage preparations.
Origanum majorana • Warm • Herbaceous • Comforting
Traditionally appears in massage blends intended for tired bodies—a natural partner for Peppermint and Eucalyptus.
Vetiveria zizanioides • Earthy • Woody • Deep
Works almost like an aromatic anchor. Its heavy earthy base balances the brighter top notes.
Thymus vulgaris • Eucalyptus globulus + radiata
Thyme adds another warming herbaceous layer. Both eucalyptus varieties bring a fresh, clean, penetrating profile rich in 1,8-cineole.
A warm bath with Epsom salts • Cool Azul® for post-activity massage • Lavender or Peace & Calming® in a bedside diffuser • Gentle stretching or restorative yoga • Quiet moments of reflection at the end of the day.
Gardeners, walkers, weekend athletes, teachers on their feet, parents chasing little ones, computer professionals, and anyone whose muscles simply feel ready for hands-on care may find Ortho Ease a welcome addition to their self-care shelf.
It also fits beautifully into a slow evening ritual—when you want to move mindfully from a busy day toward a calm night.
Ortho Ease was formulated for people. Several of its essential oils—including Peppermint, Clove, Eucalyptus, and Thyme—warrant caution around animals, especially cats. For pet-specific wellness support, please schedule an animal wellness consultation rather than using human massage products on your pets.
Ortho Ease reminds us that wellness rarely comes from a single ingredient. It develops through small, thoughtful habits—like taking five slow minutes at the end of the day to care for tired muscles, breathe deeply, and notice how your body feels.
Observe what your body is telling you. Discover simple rituals that support it. Thrive in the ordinary, everyday moments that quietly add up.
If you would like personal guidance on incorporating Ortho Ease into your self-care routine—or want help exploring other Young Living wellness options—I would love to walk alongside you. Education always comes first.
