BACKGROUND
Sleep is a critical part of our health, both for everyday wellness and when acute needs arise. Getting enough sleep helps reduce inflammation, make it easier to maintain a healthy weight, and improves everything from mental health to memory. Research suggests that quality sleep is vital for clearing toxins, regulating mood, and maintaining your immune system. Sleep is an incredibly important and often overlooked part of our health routine!

As more research has been done on sleep, we have learned that our bodies have a pseudo-lymphatic system that is designed specifically to clear waste and toxins from the brain while also replenishing essential neurotransmitters (dopamine and serotonin, anyone??). It's the glymphatic system, and guess when it is the most active and doing the most work to?? While you sleep!

In fact, many things affect this system – sleep position, alcohol intake, exercise, omega-3 consumption, intermittent fasting and chronic stress all affect the glymphatic system's clearance of waste and toxins.

Deep Night Essence helps us to support this innate system's work and natural sleep cycles, so you can wake up ready to tackle the day!

THEN when you layer on a daily magnesium supplement in the form of Super Magnesium, you are preparing your body to rest well in the evenings.

WHY NO MELATONIN?
Melatonin is typically the first thing we reach for when we need some help with sleep, and while it is a wonderful option, it is not intended for long term use.

Melatonin is naturally produced in our body and is a vital part of our circadian rhythm. It's released to signal to the body that it's time to go to sleep, but it also impacts so much more – body temperature, blood sugar, and blood vessel tone (how constricted or relaxed the blood vessels are at any time). It is actually a really important hormone for our health!

BUT. We want our bodies to continue making their own melatonin. And when we continue with melatonin long-term, our bodies will begin to make less of it – which is not what we want! So while a good short-term support tool, melatonin isn't intended for long-term use. Which is why the combination of Deep Night Essence and Super Magnesium is a winning combo!

30 MINUTES TO BETTER SLEEP ROUTINE

Promote more restful sleep: Take 2 Deep Night Essence capsules 30 minutes before bedtime. If possible, turn off all screens at this time! (1 minute)
Unwind from daily stressors: Stretch and/or meditate and take Super Magnesium capsules to help calm the nervous system. (6 minutes)
Lower your body temperature to prepare for rest: (We sleep better when our bodies are cool!) Take a warm bath to boost blood flow to the skin and increase heat loss (bonus for using calming oils like Lavender, Frankincense, or Peace & Calming!). (20 minutes)
Create a slumber sanctuary: Fill up your diffuser with calming scents and start diffusing. (3 minutes)
Drop into bed and rest well, then wake up ready to tackle the day!

And when you're ready to dive into more healthy sleep habits, grab some NingXia Red to add to your supplement routine (a delicious supplement clinically proven to give you better rest, more energy, and better mental clarity!) and an Aroma Connect Wake Up Light Diffuser!! This diffuser is our favorite for creating healthy sleep routines. You can choose two oils to diffuse, combine the wonderful effects of aromatherapy, light, sound, and an alarm. Create your own diffusing routine – one oil for the morning (imagine waking up to the uplifting scent of Peppermint) and one for the evening (wind down with relaxing Lavender) OR a combo to use together. There is truly no better way to give your health the gift of sleep!

Need to take a smaller step and make a simple, easy switch to improve your sleep routine? Try this…

THE 5 MINUTE SLEEP ROUTINE

Take Super Magnesium three times a day
Take 2 Deep Night Essence capsules 30 minutes before bedtime.
Diffuse your favorite sleep-inducing oil (we recommend Peace & Calming, Cedarwood or Mastrante!).
Then say hello to the deep zzzz's you need!
