Meet PuriClean™
Animal Scents® PuriClean™ is a prediluted essential-oil blend created as the first step in Young Living's three-part system for supporting minor scrapes and scratches. CLEAN + PREPARE
The first step before Infect Away™ and Mendwell™.

Why Clean First?
When you notice a minor scrape or scratch, it is tempting to immediately reach for something to put on it. But first comes a simpler question:
Is the area clean?
Cleansing removes surface debris. Just as important, it gives you a chance to actually look at the area before deciding what comes next. What does the skin tell you? What changed since yesterday? Does this still look like something minor?

Before reaching for the next product, look closely.
- ◦ How large is the area?
- ◦ Is it superficial or deep?
- ◦ Is there swelling? Heat?
- ◦ Discharge? Bleeding? Pain?
- ◦ Is your animal licking, chewing, guarding, or reacting differently?
Sometimes the most important thing you do first is notice.

PuriClean™
First, cleanse and prepare the skin.
Infect Away™
The second step in Young Living's Animal Scents® three-part system.
Mendwell™
The third step completes the system.
How Might You Use It?
Young Living gives pet parents several simple options. Keep it simple. More isn't better.
Simple Topical Application
Apply 1–2 drops topically according to Young Living directions.
Roll-On Application
Use an AromaGlide™ Roller Fitment for a convenient way to apply the product directly.
Skin-Cleansing Spritz
Add 8–10 drops PuriClean™ and 1 ounce distilled water to a 1-ounce spray bottle. Oil and water separate, so shake before each use.
Carefully apply according to the size and species of the animal. Additional dilution is recommended for smaller species.

The Animal Gets a Vote.
Animals are individuals. Their species matters. Their size matters. Their age matters. Their health matters. The area you are supporting matters. And their response matters.
More isn't better. Start thoughtfully and pay attention to what your animal communicates through posture, movement, behavior, facial expression, avoidance, licking, scratching, or other changes. PuriClean™ comes prediluted, yet Young Living still recommends careful application according to size and species, with additional dilution for smaller species. Dogs, cats, and horses do not process essential oils the same way.
🐾 A Note About Cats
Cats require additional consideration when using essential oils. Choose species-specific approaches thoughtfully, and bring your questions to Dr. Lynne before you begin.
What About Those Hard-Working Paws?
Paws go everywhere. Grass. Dirt. Trails. Sidewalks. Barns. Backyards. No wonder they sometimes need a little extra attention.
Young Living's DIY Pet Paw Balm offers an optional related resource. Even better, regular paw care gives you a built-in moment to notice dryness, cracking, debris, tenderness, changes between the toes, or excessive licking. What does normal look like for your animal?

Know When to Call Your Veterinarian
Home skin care does not replace veterinary evaluation when a scrape isn't "just a scrape." Reach out for:
- Deep or puncture wounds, or bite wounds
- Uncontrolled or significant bleeding
- Wounds involving the eye; burns
- Extensive tissue damage, marked swelling or pain
- Discharge or concerning odor
- Rapidly worsening areas
- An animal acting sick, weak, unusually quiet, or painful
- Anything that simply does not look right to you
When in doubt, let your veterinarian take a look.
A Few Thoughtful Reminders
- ✓ Follow Young Living label directions.
- ✓ Consider the animal's species and size.
- ✓ Additional dilution is recommended for smaller species.
- ✓ Avoid eyes and other sensitive areas.
- ✓ Observe the animal's response.
- ✓ Store in a cool, dark place.
- ✓ Keep products safely away from animals and children.
- ✓ Seek veterinary care when an injury needs more than minor home skin care.
